Tuesday Travels: Do You Know the Way to Comic-Con?

I very nearly included San Diego Comic Con on my Bay Area Bucket List. Why didn't I? Because attempting to get tickets is turning into Battle Royale. Only those who are lucky enough for Hogwarts letters can achieve these tickets. They are as rare as Wonka's and as hard to find as Articuno.

(Yeaaah, geeky references.)

So, I have decided to chronicle my attempt to get tickets in this week's Tuesday Travel post, as an explanation of why I did not put it on my list.

8:45AM: Alarm rings. Hear alarm and consider throwing it against the wall.
8:46AM: Consider getting up.
8:47AM: Still debating getting up.
8:48AM: Remember that beautiful, beautiful Comic-Con tickets could be mine if I get up.
8:49AM: Get up.
8:51AM: Log on to the Comic-Con registration website, and realize I didn't write down my registration code. Try to log on to the Comic-Con website proper.
8:52AM: Comic-Con website is still loading. Times out. I begin to panic.
8:53AM: Reload. Fails. Panic.
8:54AM: Reload. Fails. Panic.
8:55AM: Reload. Fails. Panic.
8:56AM: Success! I get my registration code and log into the registration website. Shortly after this, I realize that Comic-Con has (quite helpfully) sent me my registration code at 8:53AM. C'est la vie.
9:00AM: Registration closes for those who didn't wake up in time! Haha, suckerz.
9:01AM: I stare at the yellow toolbar and almost drool.
9:06AM: Nothing has happened. I turn on the television, but there aren't even good Saturday morning cartoons anymore. I am stuck watching Moneyball, which is really too heavy for this time of day.
9:10AM: They are now letting people buy tickets! I have one eye on my computer and the other on Moneyball.
9:12AM: Oooh, the streak part of Moneyball. This plus Comic-Con tickets makes me feel so nervous!!!
9:15AM: OH COME ON WEBSITE, LET ME BUY TICKETS.
9:18AM: Ahhhh Moneyball you're so stressful.
9:21AM: AHHH MY TICKETS, LET ME BUY YOU.
9:25AM: YAY OAKLAND A'S!
9:26AM: Back to the main agenda. I WANT MY TICKETS.
9:27AM: At least my computer hasn't frozen yet, like last year.
9:28AM: Run around the house knocking every wood surface I can find.
9:31AM: Preview night tickets are gone!!! Nooooo.
9:34AM: Friday tickets are low!! Noooo.
9:37AM: Saturday tickets are low!! Noooo.
9:38AM: Well, there's plenty of other things to do in San Diego during Comic-Con. I wonder if the Giants are playing that weekend.
9:41AM: Friday tickets are gone!! Nooooo. I bet that is when SHIEEEEELD will be.
9:44AM: Saturday tickets are gone!! Nooooo. I bet that is when Fantastic Beasts will be.
9:46AM: Thursday tickets are gone!! I don't even remember being told that they were low.
9:49AM: Sunday tickets are gone, and with that, my chances of going to Comic-Con this year. They didn't even ask for my credit-card number! This is so sad. I need to become an author so I can get in on a panelist ticket.
9:50AM: Back to sleep. Zzzzz.

Fin.
