Monday Musings - State of the Hume, Winter 2014

I have returned victorious from Hume! Winter Hume was always the best weekend of the year back when I was a teenager, and I love going back now. Monday Musings - Top Five Television Shows, Number Five - Blackadder!

So, continuing from last week, I have decided to rank my top five favourite television shows of all time. Because you can never fairly judge things until they are completed (see Allegiant post for more about that), I am only listing shows that have finished their television run. So this date may be slightly outdated, but on the bright side everything is on Amazon Prime in case anybody wants to catch up!

So, for number five, I give you…Blackadder!

Weekly Writing Wrambling - How To Tell A Story

There is a dirty little secret about writing a story. I don’t think it is mentioned as much as it should be. I can’t recall being told about it in class or in a book. The fact is that no writer will get anywhere without a little bit of patience.

Yup, that’s the secret. Patience.

Monday Musings - Happy New Year!

Happy New Year!

I always like to make New Year's Resolutions, mostly because I'm the sort of person that likes a list. To be more specific, I like a list because I can cross items off of when they are completed. I think it's satisfying to see a list full of crossed items. It makes me feel productive, I suppose.

Which is somewhat ironic, because I never, ever succeed in my New Year's Resolutions.

Weekly Writing Wrambling - How To Finish A Novel

Since I am supposed to be revising now and I’m not, this seems as good a time as any to discuss the self-discipline of writing, or as I prefer to think of it, Why Some People Finish Novels and Others Don’t.
